STAGE 3 UPDATE-Feb 20, 2013:  The Speaker and the Assembly have given $10 million to the Stage 3 child care program to prevent any further terminations.  The California Department of Education is working with child care payment agencies to get the money out as quickly as possible.  This funding will only protect families who are being dis-enrolled between now and June 30th, 2013.  If you are a Stage 3 parent who received a Notice of Action and the effective termination date HAS NOT EXPIRED, you should contact your Stage 3 agency as the Notice of Action may be rescinded and you will continue to receive services.   Unfortunately, this funding will not allow for children who have been terminated since January 2013.  Please check with your County Welfare Department to see if you qualify for diversion child care services.
